Dry and tangled hair

Why Do Hair Extensions Become Dry or Tangled?

1. Lack of Moisture  💧🍂

-Human hair extensions need hydration like natural hair. Exposure to heat, sun, or dry climates can strip moisture.

2. Incorrect Washing Techniques  🚿❌

-Rough washing, hot water, or harsh shampoos (e.g., sulfates) can damage cuticles.

3. Poor Storage  🧳🌀

-Storing extensions loosely can cause friction and tangling.

4. Skipping Conditioning  🚫🧴

-Without regular conditioning, hair loses its softness and becomes prone to knots.

5. Heat Damage  🔥😱

-Overuse of styling tools (flat irons, curling wands) without heat protectant dries out hair.

How to Prevent Dryness & Tangling

✅ Wash Gently  👐

-Use lukewarm water and sulfate-free shampoo.

-Avoid rubbing hair—cleanse in a downward motion to prevent friction.

How to Fix Dry or Tangled Extensions

1. Deep Conditioning Treatment  🧴

-Soak hair in warm water mixed with conditioner for 20–30 minutes. Rinse and air-dry.

2. Detangling Step-by-Step  🧖

-Spray with a detangling solution (water + conditioner mix).

-Separate small sections. Gently comb from ends to roots.

3. Trim Split Ends  ✂️

-Carefully snip frayed ends to prevent further tangling.

4. Avoid Overwashing  🛁

-Human hair: Wash every 10–15 wears.

FAQ

Q: Can I use regular hair products on extensions?

A: Yes, but avoid sulfates, alcohol, and heavy waxes. Opt for extension-safe formulas.

Q: My extensions are still tangled after conditioning. What now?

A: Try a vinegar rinse (1 part apple cider vinegar + 3 parts water) to smooth cuticles, then condition again.

Q: Can I sleep with extensions in?

  1. When I went to straighten the extensions on a low heat setting after having them now for a month they burned as if they were not human hair. Any way I can get them replaced? I purchased on amazon.

  2. I have ordered this hair before and it was not this bad
I just put it in last week and already it is all dry. Rizzy and the colour isn’t even what I ordered. I’m not impressed with this and I would like to send it back for a refund after paying $200 to put it in now, I have to take it out because it is not good at all. Looks awful.
