Causes & Fixes of tape ins not sticking
Solutions to keep your hair system secure and natural-looking

6 Reasons Why Your Hair Keeps Falling Out

Poor Surface Preparation
Natural oils, dirt, or product buildup on your scalp can weaken the adhesive, causing your hair to fall out prematurely.
Incorrect Application Technique
If you don’t apply enough pressure when securing the tapes, the bond won’t be strong enough, leading to your hair falling out.

Humidity & Sweat
Excessive moisture (sweat, humidity, or swimming) can loosen the adhesive, making your hair fall out faster.
Improper Tape Storage
Storing tapes in extreme heat or cold can degrade the adhesive, reducing its stickiness and causing your hair to fall out.

Oily or Fine Hair
If your scalp produces excess oil or your hair is very fine, adhesives may not hold well, increasing the risk of your hair falling out.
Defective or Old Tape
Expired or damaged tapes won’t stick properly, leading to slippage.

How to Fix
How to Prevent
Use a Silicone-Free Shampoo
Silicone leaves a residue that weakens adhesive bonds. Switch to a clarifying shampoo for a cleaner base.
Avoid Moisture for 48 Hours
After installation, keep your hair dry for at least two days to let the adhesive set properly.
Replace Tapes Regularly
Old tapes lose grip over time. Change them every 2 weeks for maximum security.
Check for Allergies
If your scalp gets irritated, you may need a hypoallergenic tape to prevent reactions that loosen the bond.

Hello, I received a pack of tape in extensions and when they arrived the adhesive was stuck together, it appears as if it was heated, possibly from hot temperature during shipping? I tried applying however they do not stick well and only a few were useable from the adhesive already being warmed.
